Today, May 1, 2014 means that the whole
Philippines observe Labor Day but for us here in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, it is more
than that. It is the time to celebrate our annual city fiesta in honor of our
city’s patron saint St. Joseph The Worker.

“Saulog sa Tagbilaran,” the
activity brings to the fore the virtues of Saint Joseph as a loving
father and devoted worker and intends to showcase the city's cultural heritage
and tourism potentials as well, in cognizance with the Provincial Government of
Bohol‘s thrust of promoting the tourism industry.
Religion is an integral part of the
culture of the Boholanos in general, and the Tagbilaranons in
particular.
