It was in 2012 when
Bohol achieved its highest placement in the Miss Silka Philippines Search five
years after it started sending candidates to the national finals.

Prior to the
Grand Finale & Coronation, all the 29 girls who came from all parts of the
country competed in the Preliminary Judging that consisted of swimsuits,
evening gowns & one-on-one interviews. The ten girls who got the highest
composite scores from all three categories would advance to the semifinals but
the names would all be revealed during the pageant finals. Aside from the
preliminary judging, there was also a special competition for the Miss Talent
award

The Panel of
Judges included the Ambassador of Philippine Fashion to the World - Rene Salud,
Fashion Director - Raymond Villanueva, 1991 Bb. Pilipinas International - Patty
Betita and 2011 Bb. Pilipinas International Dianne Necio, then 2012 Mutya Ng
Pilipinas Overseas Community - Bea Santiago,
Miss Philippines Earth- Martha Braun and some executives from Silka Management.

Finale & Coronation Night of Miss Silka Philippines 2012 was held on
November 17 at the Activity Center of Market Market in Global Bonifacio City.

VISAYAS RULES MISS SILKA PHILIPPINES 2012
That night, the Visayas reigned supreme in Miss Silka Philippines. Three of the Final Four were Miss Cebu, Miss Bohol & Miss Tacloban. Getting crowned as Miss Silka Philippines 2012 was the youngest candidate in the batch, 15 year old Ilaine Grover of Tacloban City. She received P120,000 as cash prize. 1st RU was Miss Cebu Sarah Garcia, 2nd RU was Miss Puerto Princesa Sandrine Stoelzoed & 3rd RU was our very own Karen Montreux who hails from Anda, Bohol
