Aside from the eight chefs who represented their respective division areas in Visayas & Mindanao, selected Hospitality Management students from STI College Bohol also had the chance to share in the limelight during the finals of the Solane LPG Iron Chef Visayas & Mindanao Challenge held at the Coral Café of Henann Resort.

It was an exciting experience for the budding chefs especially for those who were paired off with the competing chefs. Everything had to be prepared with accuracy, precision and presence of mind.

Making the cookfest doubly challenging was its time- pressured cooking format. They had to prepare three dishes within 40 minutes. After the food tasting, food presentation and explanation from the chefs, the judges had one final deliberation to decide on the winner.

The eventual winner Eastern Visayas’ bet Chef Elmar Pasok with STI’s Mark Jules Celin as assistant chef. The participating students were so grateful for the unique opportunity that STI College Bohol gave them.
