2018 Miss Bohol Girls Series # 7 Miss Jagna

For the second straight year, the Miss Bohol girls get to be photographed right at their hometowns or city of origin. This is not only to get to know the girls better but also to showcase and promote  their places’ landmarks and tourism potential.

 Roselle May C. Acebes
Twenty- one year old Roselle May Cuarto Acebes is representing the municipality of Jagna, the home of calamay and the gateway to Mindanao.

She has always been the kind of girl who loves challenges and getting out from her comfort zone because the rewards far outweigh the risks.

Besides, something achieved with hard work and sacrifices is far sweeter.

She recently graduated with a Bachelor of Tourism Management degree from the University of San Carlos, Magna Cum Laude.

During her college years, she was the Vice President for Internal Affairs – USC Department of Hospitality Management. She was First Honorable Mention during her high school graduation and was the President- CVIF Chorale(2012-2013) , Central Visayan Institute Foundation.
The Jagna Municipio evokes nostalgia and reminiscences
Her passions are music especially classical music, educational travel & leisure & literature.

Wearing the Miss Jagna sash in the ongoing Miss Bohol Pageant is both an honor and a responsibility. Everyone in the province knows that Jagna is one of the powerhouses in Bohol pageantry and there’s a lot of pressure to do well. In fact, Jagna is the only place to win the Miss Bohol crown for three consecutive years, (1990, 1991, 1992) a record that still stands today.
With one of Jagna’s symbols of dynamic economy

Adding to the pressure is the performance of her town’s last three bets who all made it to the final five. But Roselle is unfazed and as a dutiful and proud daughter of Jagna, she is ready for one of the biggest challenges of her young life and tackle it the way she focused on her studies; with determination, discipline and drive and of course, not to treat the pageant as a competition but to be herself, to enjoy the whole experience and make new friends along the way.

2018 Miss Bohol Girls Series # 2 Matahum sa Ubay

For the second straight year, the Miss Bohol girls get to be photographed right at their hometowns or city of origin. This is not only to get to know the girls better but also to showcase and promote  their places’ landmarks and tourism potential.

Ubay’s bet for Miss Bohol 2018 is 22 year old Anasela Zarisa “Mickay” Gaviola. She reminds me of Mary Jean MJ Lastimosa, the iconic Pinay beauty queen. The 5’ 6” tall beauty is the poster child for independence and resilience.
Beauty. Brains. Body

After finishing her high school studies, she went all the way to Baguio City to pursue a BS Architecture degree which she finished a year ago. Like fish to water, she thrived and managed to cope beautifully in a place that was far far away from home.

From her freshman to junior year, she was named as her peers’ year representative as well as club treasurer in her school’s Architecture Collegiate Society. Recognized for her friendly ways and leadership potentials, Mickay was also University of Baguio’s CFC YFC Campus Head.
