Panel Interview Highlights of Mister Bohol 2021

All contestants for the inaugural edition of Mister Bohol can finally heave a sigh of relief at the conclusion of the crucial preliminary swimwear competition & the closed- door panel interviews held at the breathtaking and exclusive BOFFO Resort in Sandingan, Loon.

BOFFO Resort beckons

Their pre- judging scores combined with their scores during the still- to- be scheduled grand finale night will determine which 10 gentlemen will advance to the semifinals and the penultimate rounds.

The Board of Judges

In a previous blog post, Your Roving Eye, listed down the top ten contestants who, in his opinion, stood out during the swimwear segment.

For this blog feature, the focus will be on the Q&A during the panel interview which proved to be a big revelation as most of the contestants were able to give their opinions to questions that ranged from life, love, career to politics, advocacy and empowerment. It was a tough call for the judges and I believe that only a mere fraction separated the scores.

Criteria for the Q&A were as follows: Thought 60% Spontaneity 40%.

Facility with the English language  wasn't factored in but with eventual winner being sent to Manila as Bohol's bet for a national competition, the contestant who can express himself in English with ease and confidence would definitely have a huge advantage.

It should be remembered though that there are no right or wrong answers. What matters the most is how the contestant responds to the question.

In random order, here are the 12 contestants who impressed Your Blogger the most with their insightful answers, commanding presence, boyish charm, candor, ability to connect with listeners and had personality projection during the panel interviews.

NOTE: These are just the opinions of one judge and does not necessarily reflect the composite scores from all seven judges during the preliminary Q&A.
