Bohol Hosts Miss Universe 2014 Batch Reunion

It was the most beautiful day of the year in Panglao when around 20 of the 2014 Miss Universe candidates came for their batch reunion.

Among the girls who came for the reunion were Philippines, USA, Ukraine, Netherlands, Switzerland, Ghana, Panama, Belgium, Indonesia, Kenya, South Africa, Austria, Norway, Mexico, Sta.Lucia, Ecuador, Singapore, Great Britain and Dominican Republic

Miss Universe- Philippines 2014 Mary Jean “MJ” Lastimosa played host to the girls during their brief yet fun & memorable stay in Bohol. Before departing from Bohol, the girls were treated to a mid- day cocktails & refreshments at Alona Tropical Beach Resort care of Mayor Nila Montero & Councilor Aya Montero.

According to Geah Marie Dollisen, Panglao Tourism Office, who helped with the preparations, the ladies confided to her that for most of them, this was their first time to visit the Philippines especially Bohol. Miss South Africa told her that she was familiar with Bohol already and thanks to their annual reunion, she was able to visit her dream place.

Aside from the white sandy beaches of Panglao, the girls also visited the Chocolate Hils in Carmen and went for a lovely cruise along the picturesque waters of Loboc River. The girls are already planning to bring their families and friends to visit Bohol.

After the girls bid adieu to Bohol and to their newfound friends, Your Roving Eye realized that pageants are not really the cutthroat competitions that they are pictured to be. The Miss Universe 2014 girls have bonded well and have been holding batch reunions since 2015. The Philippine reunion is their fourth.

Miss USA 2014: What Happens the Day After?

She was one of 51 beautiful dreamers who arrived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with one common goal: 

Becoming the 63rd Miss USA and represent the Land of Milk & Honey at the Miss Universe Pageant.

The day after the pageant, she woke up in the presidential suite and was immediately surrounded with the media for a photo opportunity right before being whisked off to New York where a Trump apartment awaits her for a year- long stay during her reign.

Meet Nia Sanchez, the 24 year old professional dancer from Nevada who confirmed her frontrunner status when she won the Miss USA crown recently. 

Did you know that right after high school, she went to Europe to become a nanny? 

After that she traveled extensively to learn more about the cultures of other people. Now that she is Miss USA 2014, an exciting year of opportunities and excitement awaits her

Another Sweet & Wholesome Miss USA Is Crowned!

And the trend continues in Miss USA! Sweet is IN and Fierce is OUT!

Nia Sanchez is Miss USA 2014

Twenty- four year old Nia Sanchez who just like her predecessors 2013 Erin McBrady, 2012 Olivia Culpo & 2011 Alyssa Campanella embodied the sweet & charming girl- next- door aura became the first Nevada contestant in the pageant’s six-decade history to  win the crown after Sunday’s three hour- long pageant held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Nia, a taekwondo 4^th degree black belter will be representing the United States in this year’s Miss Universe Pageant

Her 1^st Runner Up Miss North Dakota Audra Mari created history when she duplicated her 1^st RU finish in the 2011 Miss Teen USA Pageant. 2^nd RU was Miss Georgia Tiana Griggs, 3^rd RU Miss Louisiana Brittany Guidry, 4^th RU Miss Florida Brittany Oldehoff & 5^th RU Miss Iowa Carlyn Bradarich
