Alfredo Bascones Jr: Not Just Another Boholano Photographer

SELFIE MOMENT: Alfredo Bascones Jr
I was astounded when somebody from the throngs that lined up Mango Avenue during the Sinulog Parade 2014 called out my name

When I turned around, it was Alfredo Bascones Jr , the Derek Ramsey deadringer who happened to graduate from Holy Name University, Tagbilaran City.

Although he was never in one of my English classes, we got acquainted because we were both in the school's various socio- cultural events he being one of the standout members of HNU Diwanag Dance & Cultural Troupe and me as the perennial emcee

Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised to see him and he immediately took my photo.

It was a take one moment and I forgot all about it until he tagged me in Facebook

Here is the photo:

Delighted with the photo, I went over his photo albums and here are some of the photos that I really really like

Here are some Glamour Shots

Now if only Alfred Bascones would ask me to sit for him as a subject for his next photo session LOL

Paging Alfred Bascones!

My Cebu Sinulog 2014 Experience

Joining the 2014 Cebu Sinulog Festival was simply one exciting and unforgettable experience for me.

I was there primarily to facilitate the participation of the national winners of the 2013 Miss Beauche International pageant in the festival parade

Being the versatile person that I am, I also performed a lot of roles from tour guide, publicist and blogger to security detail & parade participant.

But mostly, I was there as your Boholano Blogger who tried his best to capture the spirit of one of the Philippines most popular festivals

Here are some of my favorite photos taken during my four day stay in the Queen City of the South

What a great way to kick off another exciting year!

Food Trip in Cebu Sinulog 2014

If there’s anything that Cebu City is noted for, it would be the array of gastronomic delights that would be right for the budget

During our first day in Cebu, we went to Rico’s Lechon for lunch

It’s an unpretentious no - frills place that serve lechon and other side dishes but it is so popular that people actually wait outside the restaurant until there is a vacancy.

We waited for our turn to be seated with three other groups

Just go straight to the head waiter so he can reserve a spot for you.

Don’t worry for the food is worth wait and the customer service is great with the lechon skin served crispy hot

I highly recommend their spicy lechon.

Our guide revealed to us that the spicy lechon is stuffed with a kilo or something of sili.

Don't forget to order their special Monggo Soup and Bicol Express
