Gigi to friends, she was a certified headturner and drew oohs and aahs everytime there were Gigi sightings in campus.
From 1976 to 1978, Miss Bohol was officially named as The Most Beautiful Boholana with DWCT's bet Lou Minoza crowned as winner in 1976. Ellen Campbell of DWCT but representing Tagbilaran City was the winner in 1977.

Gerardine was selected as DWCT's bet in 1978. Gigi's delicate features, charm and elegance easily won for her the crown. The following year, she represented the College of Commerce in the Miss DWCT Pageant which she won also.
Nothing much has been heard about her since she has opted for a very private life with her family after she got married. People who have seen her swear that she has retained her beauty after all these years.
Gigi reigned during those more innocent times when beauty pageants were the most talked about social events in Bohol.
