Alexis & Vi- anne Calipusan Renew their Marriage Vows

HOW IT ALL STARTED It was Sandugo 1999 when their paths crossed at a very auspicious time. Call it fate, destiny or serendipity but it was an encounter that was meant to be. She just won the Lin- ay sang Negros beauty title, a prestigious province- wide pageant in Negros Occidental (equivalent to Miss Bohol in scope and prestige) and was in Bohol to visit relatives and what better way to do it than during the Sandugo Festival. 

After a friend excitedly told him of the presence of a beautiful girl during one of the Sandugo events, the guy immediately sought her out and as he told the enthralled guests during their reception, he saw not a beautiful girl but a super duper beautiful girl. Not one to miss a beat, he did what every proper gentleman would do. Get to meet her through her mom, and as they say, the rest is history.

THE RENEWAL OF VOWS Just a couple of days before the world bade goodbye to year 2018, Alexis Calipusan, son of erstwhile Loboc Mayor Leon Calipusan and socio- civic leader Baby Collins, and Vi- anne Cadianza, daughter of Wilfredo & Eva Cadianza, renewed their marriage vows in the presence of their children Emiko & Eileithyia, family & friends at the posh Henann Resort in Alona Beach, Panglao.

Amidst the ohs and ahs of resort guests, tourists and kibitzers, the beautiful couple reaffirmed their vows made 10 years ago in St. Jude Parish Church in Bacolod City.

The reception that followed at the spacious banquet hall of Henann Resort & Convention Center was like no other. The guests were welcomed to the cocktail area and reception area with live upbeat music from a musical group. 

Everyone feasted not only on the scrumptious canapés, side dishes and the main dishes as well but also on the live entertainment dished out by the angelic voices of the world- class Loboc Children’s Choir, the awesome showmanship of Loboc Youth Ambassadors, the mesmerizing vocal stylings of the Singing Priests of Tagbilaran and the party music from Interact Band that came all the way from Cebu City.

Alex and Vi- anne have a lot to be thankful for the ten years of togetherness; two wonderful treasures, thriving & successful careers, and a love & commitment that has withstood the hands of time.

The duo’s huge green wall of fresh foliage measuring 20 ft x 36 ft that framed two LED walls fused together to create a giant screen took their crew two weeks to prepare and another three days to install the greens.

Their love story began  in 2008 right after college when they had their nursing board review at the Bohol Plaza in Dauis, Bohol. They were both under one review center with Kaiser & their entire class from Cebu going to Bohol specifically for the board review.

Just like most love stories, theirs began from the friendship formed during the review period. They became good friends and they kept in touch even when Karenina left for abroad. At that time, both were in a relationship. 

Year 2010, Karen became single and on November 11, 2011, they became a couple and for one whole year, it was a long- distance relationship. On November 7, 2012, Karen resigned from her flight attendant job and they had their first baby by 2013. 

It was January this year that Kaiser proposed to Karen during a luau  in Hawaii that was witnessed by a thousand people. That proposal was to be the first step in their beautiful wedding that was nine months in the making and culminated with the exchange of lifetime vows to love, to respect, to hold, to cherish, to honor & to adore one another.
