Friendship in the Miss Bohol Pageant

Miss Panglao & Miss Dauis, the last two girls on centerstage during the 2014 Miss Bohol Pageant became close during the pageant. Since both came from the two municipalities that comprise Panglao island, they always went home together after rehearsals. During the pageant, it was amazing also to see the friendly competition between the two towns.

This moment was captured by Nestor B. Daarol right after Miss Tagbilaran was called as 2nd Runner Up. Dauis Mayor Marietta Sumaylo & Panglao Mayor Nila Montero who were also there to cheer on for their respective bets were seated together.

After all,  the Sandugo Festival where the Miss Bohol Pageant is the event highlight is all about celebrating beauty & friendship

Schola Societas King & Queen of Hearts 2015

Psych Ruben John Montero and Kareshma Sale were crowned King and Queen of Hearts of Schola Societas School in Dao District, Tagbilaran City in a grand ceremony held at the Island City Mall last February 17, 2015. This was bared by Rev. Fr. Vengie D. Laguros, School Principal.

Psych is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Ruben & Lorna Montero while Kareshma is the daughter of Mrs. Chona S. Manlangit, all from Tiptip District, this city.

Rev. Fr. Victor G. Bompat, the President of Schola Societas, and Ms. Queenie Melody Fullante, Miss Bohol 2014 crowned the lovely pair of elementary graders.

The members of the Royal Court are as follows: Fredreus Regs Ungab and Kristal Ferrer (1^st Runner up), Lhyunnard Bongator and Jennylyn Uno (2^nd Runner up), Nick Andrew Hampac (3^rd Runner up), Charles Orevillo (4^th Runner up), Tristan Calibo (5^th Runner up), Zevier Niel Lanit (6^th Runner up) and Wynell Dave Mahusay (7^th Runner up).

Special awards were also given to Kristal Ferrer and Tristan Calibo (Social Media Award), Kareshma Sale (Ms. Photogenic) and Lhyunnard Bongator (Mr. Photogenic), Jennylyn Uno and Fredreus Regs Ungab (Best in Sportswear), Jennylyn Uno and Wynell Dave Mahusay (Best in Production Number), Jennylyn Uno and Nick Andrew Hampac (Best in Jeanswear), Jennylyn Uno (Best in Gown) and Fredreus Regs Ungab (Best in Formal Wear). 

Schola Societas, a private Catholic school, now accepts enrollees for Kinder 1 & 2, Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9.

Miss Bohol is Miss JCI Philippines 2014!

Just when you thought that Queenie Melody Fullante has won the penultimate title when she snagged the Miss Bohol 2014 crown last July, here comes a piece of good news that is guaranteed to clear the cold dark & dreary weather that we have experienced the past few days.

Our JCI delegates from Bohol led by President Sarena Cabagnot relayed to us the good news that our very own Queenie has been crowned just this afternoon in Cagayan de Oro City as Miss JCI Philippines 2014 after she bested ladies from the other delegations.

Interviewed over the phone, Queenie confirmed that she is indeed Miss JCI Philippines for 2014. Describing the Q & A as a nerve- wracking experience, she never thought that she would be picked the winner considering that the other girls were not only pretty but very witty and eloquent as well.

Ms Fullante earned the right to represent the JCI’s of Bohol after the JCI Chocolate Hills which helped organize the 2014 Miss Bohol Pageant selected her as the recipient of the Miss JCI special award.
