A Whole New World for Maxine Nayeli G. Yu

When a family’s firstborn turns a year old, it is a cause for celebration. With a nod to the Arabic roots of her name Maxine Nayeli which literally means greatest blessing, proud parents Neil Orven & Maureen Jade decided on an Arabian Nights theme for the thanksgiving dinner & kiddie party and had the grand ballroom of MetroCentre Hotel transformed into an enchanting Arabian palace complete with carpet and belly dancers.

Memorable Mass Wedding in Calape, Bohol

Instead of marking their Silver Wedding Anniversary with a big celebration, Calape Vice Mayor Nelson Yu & Engr. Necie "Oua" Pepito- Yu decided to sponsor a mass wedding for 15 couples last November 11, 2014 in Calape exactly 25 years after they got married.

Instead of a lavish celebration to mark an important milestone in their married life, the couple decided to hold a mass wedding for 15 of their employees when they found out that they havent exchanged church vows. Very remarkable and hats off to this amazing couple.

The couple’s quarter- of- a- century marriage has been blessed with two children, Neil Orven and Kneesa Noreen.

The simple yet meaningful celebration was held in Calape early today.
