Nelson & Oua Yu Marks Their Silver Wedding with a Mass Wedding

Congratulations and best wishes to Calape Vice Mayor Nelson Yu and Engr. Necie “Oua” Yu on their Silver Wedding Anniversary today.

Nelson & Oua: 25 Years Ago

Instead of a lavish celebration to mark an important milestone in their married life, the couple decided to hold a mass wedding for 15 of their employees when they found out that they havent exchanged church vows. Very remarkable and hats off to this amazing couple.

The couple’s quarter- of- a- century marriage has been blessed with two children, Neil Orven and Kneesa Noreen.

The simple yet meaningful celebration was held in Calape early today.

Here are the couple’s wedding photos taken back in November 11, 1989 at the St. Joseph’s Cathedral

Oua Yus Gold: The Day After

February 26, 2013.

The day after Ate Oua P. Yu's awesome luau that celebrated her golden milestone. This particular morning, Ate Madelyn Morilla- Enerio was packing up for she was to take her 10 am return flight for Manila.

Yes, Ate Oua's birthday was the raison d etre for coming home to Bohol

In between spoonfuls of eggs, crispy lechon and fried rice during breakfast, Ate Oua, Ate Lourdes, Ate Madz and I reminisced on the party highlights the night before.

Here's the link to Oua's Golden Birthday Bash:

Papa's Girl: Kneesa Noreen & incumbent Calape, Bohol Vice Mayor Nelson Yu

The birthday cake was to die for especially the carrot cake. Maret Bernadas, I salute you

Anyway, here are some pictures taken the day after

you can never go wrong with flowers to win a lady's heart
a golden treasure trove for the golden girl

OUA'S GOLD

At the end of the day, I realized that Oua's gold doesnt really allude to her age but to the treasures around her; her loving and adoring husband Sonel or Nelson, son Neil Orven and daughter Kneesa Noreen, her siblings like Ate Lourdes and Ate Maret, her friends from way way back who've been there through thick and thin.

MADZ MORILLA- ENERIO

By the way, you might be wondering who is Madelyn Morilla- Enerio? well, she is the golden girl's BFF. Classmates since high school and all the way to college. She is such a dynamite and mega fun to be with.

Missing you Ate Madz!

Here are some of her pics during the event

Oua Pepito- Yu Turns Gold

Nelson & Oua Yu
OUA TURNS GOLD The ever gracious Engr. Necie “Oua” Pepito- Yu recently marked her golden year with a Hawaiian luau at the family residence in Dampas this city.

Originally intending to have a simple quiet dinner to celebrate her birthday, husband Nelson Yu, the Vice Mayor of Calape, and their children Neil Orven and Kneesa Noreen along with the prodding of friends and family suggested a thanksgiving get- together because turning gold is indeed a milestone in one’s life

And so that was how I entered the picture one bright Monday afternoon.

We all agreed that for a change, why not hold it at their abode at the suburbs. Why not? What about the theme? Ate Oua said she wanted a Hawaiian luau so we could entertain guests and well- wishers by the pool and the spacious area inside their gated residence

It was fun indeed just sitting down and brainstorming for the details to be incorporated for the party to be celebrated on February 25,2013,her actual birthday.
