Here Are the Winners of the Panglao International Dive Fiesta Underwater Photography Contest

One of the most awaited side events of the first Panglao International Dive Fiesta was the Underwater Photography Contest

The competition which took place in the waters off Panglao Island drew 13 participants. And the following were declared the winners

1st Placer - Bo Mancao, Cebu City, P25,000.00

2nd Placer - Garri Immanuel Tadlip, Cebu City, P20,000.00

3rd Placer - Andre Snoopy Montenegro, Bantayan, Dumaguety City, P10,000.00

Getting everyone’s attention was the 2^nd placer Garri Tadlip who turned out to be only 12 years old and the youngest ever to place in an underwater photo contest. Watch out for this young guy

Composing the Board of Judges were respected diving & underwater enthusiast Joel Uichico, ace photographer & filmmaker Chris Ramasola & respected University of San Carlos marine biology professor Dr. Filipinas Sotto

The awards night was held at the U Bar right smack in the middle of Alona Beach and capped by fire dancers, party music and unlimited drinks

K & N Productions of dynamic & young entrepreneur Gibyrlu "LJ" Lumayag was one of the more than 40 participants during the 1^st Panglao International Dive Fiesta held at the Central Parking Area, Tawala, Panglao, Bohol, June 12- 15, 2013

It was the perfect opportunity to unveil the new tagline of Bohol's premier agency that specializes in events management and advertising

The four day event showcased the best Panglao’s rich aquatic resources and the need to preserve & protect them.

The event that got the imprimatur of Panglao Mayor Nila Montero & Vice- Mayor Pedro Fuertes together with the SB of Panglao and the tourism industry’s stakeholders was supported by the office of Congressman Rene Relampagos and Bohol Gove. Edgar M. Chatto
