Sheena Marie A. Licong is Miss Silka Bohol 2017

It was a tightly- fought competition that up to the last moments before the announcement of winners, the audience and candidates alike had to hold their breaths. In the end , it was the sweet- faced Sheena Marie Amper Licong of Anda, a BS Physical Therapy student of the University of Bohol who was crowned as Miss Silka Bohol 2017.

Prior to getting named as Bohol’s official bet for the national finals slated on November 17 in Manila, Ms. Licong was voted by fellow candidates as Miss Friendship and Best in Evening Gown.

The search is on for Bohol’s official candidate in the Miss Silka Philippines 2017 national finals.

Miss Silka Bohol 2017 will spotlight 15 young, lovely & smart Boholanas as they pit looks, talent, personality & wit for the right to represent the province of Bohol in the national finals and showcase to the rest of the country the best of Boholana beauty & charm.  

Miss Silka Bohol 2017 is one of 30 qualifying pageants at the provincial & regional levels in Luzon, Visayas & Mindanao that gives Filipinas everywhere the opportunity to represent the Silka brand.

Miss Silka Bohol winner will then join and compete with the other provincial & regional winners from all over the country for the title of Miss Silka Philippines who will automatically become the brand’s image model and product endorser in Silka’s print and TV ad campaign for 2018

Eda Calimbayan Cimafranca is Mutya sa Tagbilaran 2015

There was only one last hurdle before the city’s fairest would be crowned and it was the final common question that all five finalists  had to answer 

“Winning the Mutya sa Tagbilaran 2015 title is a great privilege. If you win as Mutya sa Tagbilaran 2015, how will you live up to the title, while promoting the best that Tagbilaran City has to offer?”

Your Blogger would have been stumped had he been asked to answer the same question. To their credit, all five girls acquitted themselves well despite the tense and nerve- wracking moment.

There were 15 candidates who represented their respective barangays in Mutya sa Tagbilaran 2015, considered as the glamorous prelude to the City Fiesta Celebration in honor of St. Joseph the Worker.

The panel of judges whittled down the field to five finalists after the casual interview, swimsuit & evening gown competitions.

MUTYA 2015 IS EDA CIMAFRANCA

The big winner during tonight's pageant finale was Miss Poblacion 1 Eda Calimbayan Cimafranca, 16 years old, who topped the swimsuits, casual interview and evening gown competitions on her way to being crowned as Mutya sa Tagbilaran 2015. 

Pob 1 Brgy Captain Arlene Karaan led a big contingent from their barangay to cheer on for the leggy and lissome lass. Mary Eda, the daughter of Engrs. Maria Eva and Cresente Cimafranca. will represent the city in the forthcoming Miss Bohol 2015 set this July. 

THE ROYAL COURT:

1^st Runner Up was Miss Dampas  Christine Ann Juguan and 2^nd RU was Sheree Ann Ciruela.

Among the judges were top model Allison Harvard, designer Cary Santiago, Miss Intercontinental 2^nd RU Kris Tiffany Maslog Janson, Miss World 93 2^nd RU Ruffa Gutierrez & Manhunt International 2012 June Macasaet.
