She didn’t win any of the 10 special awards at stake but in the end she got the biggest title and succeeded the 2017 Miss Silka Bohol winner Sheena Marie Licong.  Catherine Cadayona Tabaniag of Panglao who turned 20 during the pageant received her best birthday gift yet, the Miss Silka Bohol 2018 crown and title. 

She gained the judges' nod with her consistent performance, commanding stage presence, great speaking skills and the luminous, silky smooth skin that is associated with the use of Silka beauty and skincare products from Cosmetique Asia Corporation.

It was a well- attended Miss Silka Bohol 2018 grand coronation at the ICM Activity Center, Oct 27 with most candidates bringing in their own cheering squads.  It was a competitive batch that had the audience half- guessing which girl would be bringing home the crown and the right to represent Bohol in the nationals later this November.

After the girls’ appearances in the opening dance number, swimsuits and evening gowns, the field was narrowed down to the final seven.  ABS CBN Kapamilya talent Anjo Damiles couldn’t make it for the serenade after he missed his flight from Manila. After the Q & A, it was time to announce the final results.

Miss Baguio is Miss Silka Philippines 2017

Nineteen year old Andrea Fe Gomez of Baguio City was crowned Miss Silka Philippines 2017 at the conclusion of the exciting and star- studded pageant held at the Activity Center of Market Market today.

Ms. Gomez received P150,000 in cash plus gift certificates, merchandise and an endorsement contract with Silka for 2018. Her chosen charity will also receive P100, 000 cash donations.

Named 1^st RU was Miss Silka Quezon  Ashanti Shaine Ervas, 19 years old, 2^nd RU was Miss Silka Cebu Nicole Borromeo, 16 years old and 3^rd RU was Miss Silka Cagayan Valley Nikita Pearl Teichmuller, 19 years old.

Will Sheena Marie Give Bohol Its First Miss Silka Philippines Crown Today?

Today, November 17, we shall find out if Sheena Marie Amper Licong will give Bohol its first ever Miss Silka Philippines crown. After arriving in Manila last Nov 14, Miss Silka Bohol 2017 plunged head- on with the series of activities leading to the coronation scheduled today.

The 19 year old BS Physical Therapy student competes with more than 30 provincial and regional candidates from all over the Philippines for the honor of becoming Silka beauty & skincare products’ image model and product endorser.

Bohol’s highest placement since it sent a candidate in 2008 is 1^st Runner Up courtesy of Geraldine Bernido Topsnik in 2015.  Bohol’s 10- year participation in the nationwide beauty search has also yielded a Top Ten finish in 2013 and a 3^rd Runner Up placement in 2012.

It was a tightly- fought competition that up to the last moments before the announcement of winners, the audience and candidates alike had to hold their breaths. In the end , it was the sweet- faced Sheena Marie Amper Licong of Anda, a BS Physical Therapy student of the University of Bohol who was crowned as Miss Silka Bohol 2017.

Prior to getting named as Bohol’s official bet for the national finals slated on November 17 in Manila, Ms. Licong was voted by fellow candidates as Miss Friendship and Best in Evening Gown.
