Catherine Cadayona Tabaniag of Panglao is Miss Silka Bohol 2018

She didn’t win any of the 10 special awards at stake but in the end she got the biggest title and succeeded the 2017 Miss Silka Bohol winner Sheena Marie Licong.  Catherine Cadayona Tabaniag of Panglao who turned 20 during the pageant received her best birthday gift yet, the Miss Silka Bohol 2018 crown and title. 

She gained the judges' nod with her consistent performance, commanding stage presence, great speaking skills and the luminous, silky smooth skin that is associated with the use of Silka beauty and skincare products from Cosmetique Asia Corporation.

It was a well- attended Miss Silka Bohol 2018 grand coronation at the ICM Activity Center, Oct 27 with most candidates bringing in their own cheering squads.  It was a competitive batch that had the audience half- guessing which girl would be bringing home the crown and the right to represent Bohol in the nationals later this November.

After the girls’ appearances in the opening dance number, swimsuits and evening gowns, the field was narrowed down to the final seven.  ABS CBN Kapamilya talent Anjo Damiles couldn’t make it for the serenade after he missed his flight from Manila. After the Q & A, it was time to announce the final results.

Miss Silka Bohol 2015 Screening Highlights

The first hurdle towards becoming Miss Silka Bohol 2015 was concluded last May 3 at ICM Mall with the screening of applicants. 

More than an annual search for Silka’s product endorser & image model, the Miss Silka Bohol Pageant is also a door of opportunity to young Boholanas who dream of making it to a national level competition and being discovered in the process.

High school and university girls showed up for the screening and in just a couple of days, we shall find out who made the Top Fifteen. One final screening has been scheduled this Saturday, May 9, 3 pm at the  BQ Mall Atrium to give more girls the same opportunity.

With Cosmetique Asia Corporation, makers of Silka skin care products, and the formidable creative team of K&N Productions, Bohol’s premier event management company, Miss Silka Bohol 2015 Coronation Pageant scheduled on July 17, ICM Activity Center, will truly be a spectacular and entertaining extravaganza of Boholana beauty at its best.

Aimed at selecting the ambassador for beauty of Silka skin care products, the pageant brings together qualified young ladies who successfully hurdled a rigorous screening process. Miss Silka Bohol 2015 is one of 30 qualifying pageants at the provincial & regional levels in Luzon, Visayas & Mindanao that gives Filipinas everywhere the opportunity to represent the Silka brand.

Miss Silka Bohol winner will then join and compete with the other provincial & regional winners from all over the country for the title of Miss Silka Philippines who will automatically become the brand’s image model and product endorser in Silka’s print and TV ad campaign for 2016.

Miss Silka Bohol 2015 has now formally opened its application process for Bohol’s aspiring beauty queens.   

I           MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A.     single, never been married, has not given birth and possesses good moral reputation

B.     between 15 & 23 years old on the day of the competition (birth certificate as proof of age)

C.     at least 5’ 3” in height, has fair & smooth complexion

D.     proportionate in height and figure and she must be physically fit

E.      has not won a beauty title in the  provincial, regional & national level

F.      born to one or both Boholano  parent/s or must trace her roots in Bohol

G.     pleasing in personality & can express herself in spoken English

H.     must be a bonafide resident of Tagbilaran City & Bohol ( as attested by Punong Barangay)

I.      for former Miss Silka Bohol candidates, she must not have placed in the Top Four and there has         to be at least a two year gap since the previous pageant edition she has joined in. 

II         REQUIREMENTS:

All potential candidates must submit the following requirements:

1.    Duly accomplished candidate application form and information sheet in duplicate copies

2.    Proof of residence as attested by the Punong Barangay

3.    Photocopy of birth certificate for official conformity

4.    Parental consent is required if candidate is below 18 years old

5.    One close up photograph (4R)

6.    One whole body photograph in swimwear (4R)

Twenty seven lovely girls from all over the country including Bohol's very own Marian Grace Malubay  are vying for the title of Miss Silka Philippines 2014: Gandang Pilipinas, Kutis Alagang Silka tonight, November 9 at the Market Market Activity Center, The Fort, Taguig City. 

The lucky girl who gets the nod of the panel of judges wins P125,000 cash, Silka gift packs, endorsement deals & P100,000 cash donation for her chosen charity.
