2009 Miss Bohol Sandugo: Daisy Jean Quilicot

TALLEST MISS BOHOL SANDUGO WINNER 

A tall and dusky 20 year old coed from the then CVSCAFT now known as Bohol Island State University emerged as Miss Bohol Sandugo 2009 in a glittering and star- studded pageant night held at the air- conditioned Bohol Cultural Center in Tagbilaran City

Daisy Jean Quilicot, who at 5' 8" tall is the tallest ever to win the Miss Bohol Sandugo crown. Her stratospheric height, morena complexion, slim figure, elegant stance, megawatt smile & gift of gab made her the perfect candidate for a national beauty pageant. 

Your Blogger has not been privy to whatever decisions she had made during and after her reign for despite repeated attempts, Ms. Quilicot has not responded to Your Blogger's interview requests coursed through her FB message box.  

Miss Daisy Jean Quilicot: A Major Major Threat Had She Joined A National Pageant 

Miss  Tagbilaran City 2009 winner

Prior to winning the most prestigious beauty title in the province, Daisy had to hurdle two preliminary pageants. The first one was winning the 2009 Miss CVSCAFT crown held at the main campus in Bilar, Bohol. 

She then represented CVSCAFT in the Miss Tagbilaran Pageant where she emerged victorious thus making her the city's bet for Miss Bohol Sandugo 2009

TRIVIA:  Did you know that I was the emcee in all three aforementioned pageants that Daisy Jean competed in and won? Perhaps I was her lucky charm

Miss Sombrio is from Loon. A year after Miss Bohol Sandugo 2009, she was crowned Miss UB Personality 2010.  She was selected as Best in Interview & Miss BYRO Pharma

 Miss Bilar: Cherry Mae Ancog

 Miss Guindulman: Genevieve Parame

Miss Guindulman, another crowd favorite and sponsored by DPWH III was selected as Miss Aldea Photogenic & Best in Evening Gown

BOARD OF JUDGES:

Direk Maryo J. de los Reyes, a multi- awarded Boholano film & TV director chaired the panel that chose that year's set of winners. The members of the panel included Ms. Ann Marie Tan, GMA 7 Station Manager, Julio Diaz, award- winning movie actor, Anna Capri, award- winning movie & TV actress, Marc Cools, a Belgium- based consultant, Dr. Anita Cal Jackson, a US- based doctor & 2006 Mrs. Bohol International 2nd RU, Dan Ismael Corral Lim, son of Tagbilaran City Mayor Dane Neri Lim
