Bohol Welcomes Canada Part 1

Bohol played host recently to around 250 VIP guests & tourists, the biggest group ever to come all the way from Canada. No less than Philippine ambassador to Canada, H.E. Petronila P. Garcia led the entire delegation from Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Quebec, Toronto & Halifax.

WINTER ESCAPADE
Dubbed the 2nd annual Winter Escapade from Canada, the participants island- hopped in the Central Visayas Region. From Negros Oriental to Bohol then Cebu, they sampled the region’s culinary delights, soaked up the rich culture & heritage and enjoyed the unspoiled beauty of the islands.

BLUEWATER RESORT
The intermittent rains that hovered over Bohol for almost two days miraculously stopped hours before the February 2 welcome luau held at the fabulous Bluewater Resort in the tropical island paradise of Panglao.

The warmth & the sunny disposition of the Boholanos that can melt any frozen Siberian snowcap were more than enough to bring cheers to the very special guests

The welcome event was hosted by the Philippine Tourism Promotions Board with Susan del Mundo, OIC Domestic Promotions and Margie Munsayac, VP Sales and Marketing, Bluewater Resorts and TPB and Central Visayas Regional Director, DOT Region VII TPB Board of Director Rowena Lu Y. Montecillo at the helm.

Aside from the welcome drinks,  canapes & live musical entertainment, there were the henna tattoo booth, the Hawaii- inspired photo booth & complimentary hula lessons for the daring & graceful ones.
