Binibini Beauties Meet The Boholano Blogger

Today felt like no other for this Boholano blogger.

You see, I got the chance to meet not one but three Bb. Pilipinas titleholders.

Finally, I got the chance to reunite with 1981 Miss Young Philippines, 1985 Bb. Pilipinas- Universe and author of the phenomenal adventuresofabeautyqueen.com Joyce Ann Burton- Titular and 2006 Bb Pilipinas World Anna Maris Igpit

It was a fun get- together because of Bea Santiago's Miss International victory and Bea happens to be under Kagandahang Flores beauty camp where Anna is a mentor and camp sister

ON JOYCE ANN BURTON

My friendship with Ms Joyce started when I became a regular visitor of her blog and it was cemented when we invited her to be one of the judges for the 2012 Miss Panglao Pageant in Panglao, Bohol

We talked about the relief efforts that we are doing right now in Bohol

Joyce is all set to leave for a much- deserved vacation and visit to Los Angeles for the holidays with her hubby Ron Titular. 

When Anna left for another Oplan Bangon Bohol meeting, Joyce and I went to nearby Cyma, a Greek restaurant to sample some Mediterranean dishes. Ron joined us afterwards. 

It was so much fun to have met them again and to catch up where we left off after their Bohol trip last year

ON ANNA MARIS

Anna Maris updated us with her DepEd coordination meeting that was related to the rebuilding and repair of Bohol schools that were devastated by the October 15 temblor that struck our province.

After the chitchat cum interview and the obligatory photo opportunity care of my brother Angelo who tagged along as unofficial photographer, we had to bade farewell.

By the way, it was funny that we were supposed to meet up in The Fort Area but when I texted the both of them that I was in Eastwood and that I was petrified going to The Fort alone, they decided to brave the traffic and come over all the way from Makati

Their gesture alone was so touching because despite their celebrity status, they went out of their way to meet up

I got the surprise of my life when friends from all over the world sent messages of concern and asked how we are in Bohol.

The biggest surprise however came from 1985 Bb Pilipinas- Universe & 1981 Miss Young Philippines Joyce Ann Burton- Titular, the author of adventuresofabeautyqueen.com where I am a frequent visitor and commenter

Ms Joyce called me up to ask how I was and how fellow Boholanos are coping. You see, Ms Joyce fell in love with our island the moment she stepped foot in Bohol when we invited her to be one of the judges for the 2012 Miss Panglao Beauty Pageant

When I told Ms Joyce that Miss Bohol Sandugo 2005 and Bb Pilipinas- World 2006 Anna Maris Igpit was organizing a relief operations project and that I was hoping she could help spread the news about her fellow Binibini’s volunteer project, she asked me for Anna’s private number

Anna Maris Igpit asks for help in behalf of Boholanos who recently suffered a 7.2 earthquake

Just got off the phone with Anna Maris Igpit, Bb. Pilipinas World 2006 who informed me that she had just set up a relief operations project called Oplan Bangon Bohol in response to the shocking 7.2 earthquake that rocked the island province of Bohol.

Anna Igpit is from Panglao, a sleepy beach-side town on one of the tips of the island.

Here is her message to you:

I am currently at a loss for words now with all the help and support we are getting from our Kababayans from all over the country and the world.

Thank you to everyone who extended help and for those of you who wish to donate or volunteer, you are all very welcome. This just gives me hope that our Bayanihan spirit is still very much alive. Our beloved province of Bohol may have been shaken, but not our faith.

We are descendants of Dagohoy, we have strong blood. We shall rise again. BANGON BOHOL!

Bangon Bohol is a team of young Boholanos from Manila, Davao and Cebu. Their first action was to set up a Facebook Page where people can get information on how to donate relief goods.

Anna says they are welcoming cash donations as well.

She says, “please private message me on Facebook and I’ll get in touch with those who want to make cash donations.”

Please help our fellow Boholanos who are badly in need of food, water & blankets
