Jomar & Majoy: Blissfully in Love

Call it persistence or patience but Your Blogger would rather tag it as pure love. You see, it took quite a few years before the groom could muster the courage to tell the girl about his intentions.

He was from the University of Bohol and she was from Holy Name University and in fact, she was under my English 1 class when she was a freshman Psychology student. 

It had to be destiny that they were fated to meet when they were both assigned at the Bureau of Jail Management & Penology Regional Office, Cebu City.

Friendship turned into something deeper and he won her heart and impressed her family when he showed up at their house in Taloto to ask for their approval and blessings.

Their long engagement culminated in their exchange of lifetime vows on September 19, 2015 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Church, Taloto, Tagbilaran City. 

And so congratulations to Jose Jomar Torreon and best wishes to my former student Maria Jessa "Majoy" Bayron on their wedding !

Majoy, JO2, is presently assigned at the Bureau of Jail Management & Penology Regional Office, Cebu City as Regional Psychologist & Health Service Non- Commissioned Jail Officer while her hubby, JO 1, is presently assigned in Carmen District Jail as Custodial Escort

Love Finds a Way for Peboy & Cel Orias

LOVE FINDS A WAY. Theirs is a romance that can rival the most unforgettable love stories that ever graced the silver screen. They first met back in the early 90’s when they were third year high school students at Holy Infant Academy in Anda, Bohol.

Time, distance & the absence of cellphones back then got in the way when she went to Manila to study while he stayed behind to pursue his studies at PMI.

Almost two decades passed and in between there were short-lived affairs. Finally coming home after one of his overseas assignments, the groom’s family played Cupid and arranged for her to meet him when he arrived home.

The lovestruck couple Peboy Orias & the former Cel Penaso finally exchanged lifetime vows before God , family & friends last July 18 at the Shrine of Saint Jude Thaddeus. Reception immediately followed at the Sandugo Ballroom of Bohol Tropics Resort.

What you see is what you get. More or less. Meet our lovely debutante who goes by the name of  Jhan Leizth Lagumbay. She actually turned 18 last July 14 but she is marking it with style and youthful exuberance on July 25 at the MetroCentre Hotel courtesy of Mama Leizl who has been based in Singapore since 2002.

 Of colors and charm

Leizth, as she is called by family & friends, is a sophomore BS Tourism student of Holy Name University, Tagbilaran City. When asked why she chose the course, she replied” because Bohol is fast gaining a reputation as one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the Philippines and I want to be ready when tourism achieves its boom”

The most interesting thing about the debutante is her passion for anything Korean especially K-pop and her hobby which is reading.
