Sum Finance Services Corp: Miss Bohol 2015 Series # 9

Lara Ann Lumayag, 21 years of age is the only candidate in Miss Bohol 2015 to represent a financial institution, Sum Finance Services Corporation and one of the fastest- growing at that.

She graduated from Holy Name University with a degree in Psychology. Presently, she is an experiential consultant.

She is working full- time at the same time that she is vying for the Miss Bohol 2015 crown.

She is not exactly new in pageantry for she was Miss Dauis 2012, Miss Olive C Bohol League 2012 2nd RU & Miss Teen Bohol 2012 2nd RU.

Miss Lara Lumayag is like a ray of sunshine on a rainy day

She considers herself a positive and open- minded person. For Lara, being an optimist results in being motivated that ultimately results in achieving one’s goals & living a happy life.

When asked to make a pitch for Sum Finance Services Corporation, she readily said
It is a financial institution that lends money at a fair interest rate and it aims to alleviate poverty not just in the province of Bohol but also in other parts of the country”
Good luck Lara!

Meet Miss Dauis & Miss Loon for Miss Bohol 2015

During the Miss Bohol 2015 poolside presentation & swimsuit photo shoot done at the Henann Resort in Alona Beach, Panglao, Your Blogger had the chance to get to know the girls better when they revealed more of their backgrounds and personalities.

Like typical teenagers, most of them were giggly & exuberant girls who were enjoying what they consider as one of the most exciting & most memorable life experiences.

With Miss Bohol 2015 beauties

Over the next few days, Your Blogger will give the girls  the chance to be in the spotlight. Here are the first two girls:

Candidate # 12 Miss Dauis Shiella Estareja, 21 years old and a sophomore BHRST student of BISU. She dreams of working in a cruise ship someday. She was crowned Miss Dauis 2013 and she hopes to duplicate the feat of her townmate Queenie Melody Fullante who is the reigning Miss Bohol 2014. When asked if she feels the pressure, she said yes of course especially because the town of Dauis particularly Mayor Marietta Sumaylo has been very supportive but Shiella assures her townmates that she will do her best

Candidate # 14 Miss Loon Dahlia Rose Rada is a 19 year old BEEd student from the University of Bohol. She attributes her confidence & sunny personality to her being good- natured & her being 1st Runner Up in the 2013 Miss UB Personality Search.

The best of luck to Shiella & Dahlia & the rest of the girls

Onstage Interview of Miss Bohol 2014

Here is the gist of Your Blogger’s onstage interview with Queenie Melody Fullante, the newly- crowned Miss Bohol 2014.

Just read the interview contents and look at how she projects during the interviews. She was such a natural onstage.

No pretensions and she said it as it is. I believe this must have gotten the attention of the judges especially with the hint of self- assuredness that was on display that night.

HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE COMPARED WITH MS. VENUS RAJ?

When asked how she feels being compared with Venus Raj, she readily replied that it flatters her to be compared to one of the Philippines’ most iconic beauty queens.

On the other hand, she feels that it somehow makes her lose her self- identity and frustrates her that she has to live under the shadows of one who is very popular.

She insisted that she wants to be known simply as Queenie and not to be the clone or lookalike of someone else

WHO IS MORE IMPORTANT? THE FATHER OR THE MOTHER?

When asked who is more important in her family, her mother or her father, she replied that both the father and mother are equally important for they play complementary roles.

The mother is the symbol of love and of sharing. A father on the other hand, is the symbol for strength and stability.

But if she is to choose only one, she would choose her mother. She explained that she has never seen her father for she was born an illegitimate child. But even then, she would always have the highest regard for her mom who was able to raise her up to be who and what she is right now despite being a single mom

Her answers struck a chord in the hearts of those who were in the audience that night. She had the audience and the judges to her side even before we wrapped up the Onstage Interviews.

For the penultimate round where the final five were asked the same question, it was smooth sailing for her. Add the moral boosters made up of townmates from Dauis led by their supportive mayor, Hon. Marietta Sumaylo, who helped clinch for Queenie the special award “Darling of the Crowd”

Get the chance to know Queenie a little better the next few days only here with Your Boholano Blogger

Hail the Queen!

Miss Dauis Is Miss Bohol 2014

Miss Bohol 2014: Queenie Melody Fullante
A Cinderella story for Miss Dauis
L_R: Bohol First Lady Mrs. Pureza Chatto, Tagb City Mayor Baba Yap & Gov. Edgar Chatto
An exotic beauty named Queenie Melody Fullante gave the Municipality of Dauis its first ever Miss Bohol crown.  Blessed with an engaging and endearing personality, the newly- crowned Miss Bohol 2014 stood out for her gift of gab and easily got noticed for being a deadringer for Venus Raj.

SHOCKERS & SURPRISES

Because it was a very competitive batch with so many stunners, it was inevitable that some of the favorites would not make the next cut. Hours after the pageant had ended, people were still talking about the non- inclusion of Miss Loon, Miss Getafe and Miss Anda.

If there’s one consolation for the girls, they all did a good job last night and so that makes all of them winners.
