Ara Arida Starts Her Miss Universe Web Correspondent Gig

It’s going to be three in a row for the Filipina beauty to be taking over the Miss Universe web correspondent duties. 

In 2012, Shamcey became the first “On the Scene” correspondent for the behind-the-scenes web series, On the Scene. for the Miss Universe Pageant and she did the segment in Las Vegas so well that another Filipina, this time Miss Janine Tugonon got the hosting gig in Moscow, Russia back in 2013.

It will stream via the Miss Universe YouTube channel, Official Miss Universe.  "On the Scene" web show is the Miss Universe Organization's way of letting pageant fans in on the events happening before the coronation night on

Miss Universe 2013 3rd runner-up, Ariella Arida, together with Mr. Jonas Gaffud of Aces and Queens, finally arrived at the LAX international airport, Los Angeles, California, that is as she takes the trip for Doral, Miami. They were met at the airport by US- based Janine Tugonon.

The Philippines is indeed one of the favorite countries of the Miss Universe Organization. The obvious favoritism can be confirmed with the appointment of Miss Universe 2013 3rd Runner-up Ara Arida as Miss Universe 2014 Website Correspondent

 

2013 Bb Pilipinas- Universe: Ara Arida

This is the third straight year that a Miss Philippines Universe will be assuming the online hosting chores for the pageant. It was Shamcey Supsup who got the job in 2012 followed by Janine Tugonon who flew to Moscow, Russia in 2013. This year, Miss Arida gets the ‘On the Scene’ online hosting job for the 63rd Miss Universe Pageant.

Ariella will be jetting off to Miami, Florida, USA middle of January so expect her web videos to appear a few days before and during the pageant.

Right after the pageant, Miss Universe 2013, Venezuela’s Gabriela Isler models the “Yamamay Million Dollar Swimsuit For Miss Universe” during an unveiling ceremony in Moscow November 10, 2013.

The swimsuit, which is handcrafted by jewelry manufacturer Dinacci, consists of nearly 200 carats of gemstones such as diamonds, emeralds and rubies, according to Yamamay.

Yamamay Million Dollar Swimsuit for Miss Universe is already available online and in select stores since December 2014 and around the world beginning January this year.

Meet the 2014 Bb Pilipinas Official Candidates

It's going to be a very special edition of the Bb. Pilipinas Pageant this year with no less than the reigning Miss Universe Gabriela Isler of Venezuela jetting in as a member of the judging panel and ,together with Ara Arida, will crown the Philippines' bet for the 2014 Miss Universe Pageant set in Brazil later this year

Joining Gabriela Isler in her goodwill visit is the Miss Universe Organization's President, Paula Shugart. 

Together with the other Binibini winners,they will turn over the monetary donations they have raised for the victims of the recent quake and super typhoon

Pageant fans around the world are now abuzz that Paula and Gabriela's presence is a confirmation that the Philippines is getting special treatment from the Miss Universe organizers.  

I beg to disagree. The reason is very simple actually. 

With the Philippines finally getting its first Miss World crown and the strong bid of Miss World Organization led by its president Julia Morley to have the Philippines host this year's Miss World finals, the MUO had to protect its market interest, audience share & advertising revenues here by doing an aggressive marketing counterstrike and neutralize the media buzz created by Miss World

Here now are the 40 Official Candidates for the 2014 Binibining Pilipinas Pageant set on March 30, 2014, at the Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City and telecast over ABS CBN Channel 2

Janine Is This Year's Miss Universe Web Presenter

Just when you thought that you have seen or heard the last from our very own Janine Tugonon, last year’s Miss Universe 1st Runner Up, here comes the great news that she will play a major role in this year’s Miss Universe Pageant on November 9 straight from Moscow, Russia

Janine will be doing what another Filipina Shamcey Supsup, 2011 Miss Universe 3rd Runner Up did last year. 

As this year’s Miss Universe Web Presenter ,she will be giving pageant fans the inside scoop and updates on the world's most popular international beauty competition

Expect her to be doing interviews, backstage info and lots of red carpet updates.

Janine Tugonon will be the correspondent of the official YouTube Channel of the Miss Universe 2013. She will also cover some sponsored activities, rehearsals and will randomly interview candidates to get the inside scoop from each delegate.

This is one solid proof that the Miss Universe Organization has recognized the charm, competence and the global appeal of the Filipina beauty.

Ara Models for Mercedes Benz TV Ad in Russia

GOOD NEWS FROM MOSCOW:

And here's some more good news from Moscow, Russia where our very own Miss Philippines Ara Arida is battling it out with 86 other ladies for the 2013 Miss Universe crown

After being picked as one of 27 girls to model in the prestigious Mercedes Benz -Tony Ward Fashion Couture, Ara, together with the following Miss Universe 2013 contestants were chosen to be a part of the Mercedes-Benz TV Commercial: Miss Austria Doris Hofmann, Miss Germany Anne-Julia Hagen, Miss Mexico Cynthia Duque, Miss Poland Paulina Krupinska and Miss Russia Elmira Abdrazakova. 

The TV ad will start showing in the Russian airways after the Miss Universe pageant until the end of the year.

This would only mean that our candidate must have impressed the corporate sponsors so much that they have picked her to be one of the commercial endorsers for the luxury car brand

Remember, aside from being a spokesperson for the Miss Universe Org, this year's Miss Universe winner will also be product endorser and commercial model for MUO's pageant sponsors
