Boholana Model Qualifies for Bodyshots Philippines 2014

Here’s more good news from the beauty front!

Another Boholana, Jinlyn Talocod of Baclayon has confirmed that she is one of 15 official candidates for the national finals of Bodyshots Philippines 2014 set on June 28 at the Solaire Resort & Casino.

Jinlyn also revealed that she has been picked by organizers as one of the models who will participate in Philippine Fashion Week

Last April 21, the Fashion Designers Association of the Philippines (FDAP) held the third and final screening of Body Shots 2014, the search for new male and female Filipino models. The private event was held at Ballroom 1 of Solaire Resort and Casino.

51 female and 59 male aspirants showed off their runway walk for the final time, hoping to be among the 15 female and 15 male models who will compete in the final competition in June.

Binibining Pilipinas 2014 candidates Raquel Cabigting and Ednornance Agustin were among the models at the final screening facilitated by veteran fashion show director Cata Figueroa.

The 30 finalists were announced in the same afternoon. They are:

The 14 fallbacks were also announced. These fallbacks are the “understudies” of the finalists in case any of them are unable to continue in the competition.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that Jinlyn places in the modeling search. Being chosen as one of the organizers' choices to model during the Philippine Fashion Week is an indicator that she has made a favorable impact already

So far, the highest placed Boholana in a modeling search is Verns Boniel Buckley who won the 2002 Ford Supermodel of the World- Philippines search and later placed in the international finals

We also had Louella Yap Butalid, a top runway mannequin in Cebu during the 80's who also represented the Central Visayas with four other girls in the nationwide search for the 1988 Ford Supermodel of the World Philippines

Then there was Liwa Bolotaolo who qualified in the national finals of the 1991 Face of the Year Quest

We also had the dusky and voluptuous Taina Manigque Stone who was a member of the very exclusive Mondragon Triumph Court of Fashion. She went on to become a Top 15 Finalist & Miss Lux awardee in the 1985 Bb Pilipinas Pageant

Thirteen years back, Lisa Tandugon was selected as Best Model of the World- Central Visayas. She eventually finished in the Top Ten during the national finals
