World- Class Boholano athletes Dr. Joanne Flores and Rain Calimbayan recently won gold medals in the 21st Annual Kaiser Permanente, Northern California International Dragon Boat Festival in the United States.

The lone duo from Tagbilaran, Bohol was chosen to be part of the Philippine Dragon Boat Alliance which bagged gold in the Women, Mixed, and Men's Category and was declared Champion in the Visiting Team Competition.
