Raffia Dresses: Big Hit During Miss Silka Bohol 2014 Launching

As the annual search for Miss Silka Bohol enters its seventh edition , Cosmetique Asia Corporation, makers of Silka beauty & skin care products, has also made the pageant as a partner in community- building by letting it support local SME’s and  cottage industries and initiating & adopting social advocacies & charity projects through K&N Productions, their Bohol- based professional event organizer

Fashionable & wearable ladies’ dresses and accessories like clutch bags & shoulder bags all created out of raffia from Tubigon Loom Weavers Multi- Purpose Cooperative were spotlighted during the Miss Silka Bohol 2014 Press Presentation & Launching held at the BQ Mall Atrium recently.

Special thanks to Trina Sumayang, the hardworking manager of TMPC. Special mention goes to Christine Ires & Ronald Lopez for facilitating our request.

More than just a show of support, Miss Silka Bohol 2014's fashion showcase was a tribute and a salute to the artistry and craftsmanship of the Boholano loomweavers.

Mabuhi ! Long Live!
