Meet the Miss Bohol 2015 Girls Series # 3: Miss Cortes

Meet Katrina November Renegado Paña Decker, Cortes’ bet for Miss Bohol 2015. Ember, as she is called by most people is a 20 year old 3rd year nursing student of Holy Name University.

Miss Cortes Tourism 2014: Katrina Decker
She was born in Cortes, Bohol but moved to the States when she was just five years old. Living in a small town where the community is very focused and revolved around sports, Ember grew up playing many different sports throughout her growing years.

She has done basketball, volleyball, track and field, softball, cheerleading, and was even a member of a competition dance team. Playing in sports made such a positive impact in her life for it taught her valuable skills and lessons in life.

Even until now, sports still play a key role in her life; She is currently an HNU volleyball player and, at the same time, is also a member of the Nursing department’s cheerleading team called Red Raiders.

It was only when she got back to the  Philippines that she got introduced into the world of pageants. She participated twice in the annual Miss Nursing Sportsfest held every year, both times coming out as 1st runner up.

Competing & winning the Miss Cortes Tourism 2014 was a major stepping stone in Ember’s life. She considers it an honor and privilege to be the one chosen to represent the town of Cortes in this year's Miss Bohol Sandugo Pageant and she hopes to make her fellow Cortesanons proud.
