It was on May 9, 1987 or twenty- seven sweltering summers ago that a tall and alabaster- skinned teenager emerged as Miss Tagbilaran in a competition that she dominated from the moment she sashayed onstage.
Truly epitomizing beauty, brains, and breeding, Fiel Angeli captivated the judges that included lovely Boholanas Taina Manigque- Stone, Bb. Pilipinas 85 finalist and Perla Salig- Teves,1979 Bb. Pilipinas 1st runner up to Melanie Marquez and the audience with her grace, poise and, unmistakable regal aura.
What truly clinched the crown for her was the eloquent way that she answered the tough questions thrown at her in the make- or- break final interview.

MISS TAGBILARAN 1987 EDITION MAKES HISTORY
Fiel Angeli , the reigning 1986 Miss Bohol National High School Personality and the 1987 Miss Tagbilaran Best Talent Awardee would also go down in Bohol beauty pageant history as the first beauty queen to be crowned in a swimsuit.

You see, the 1987 Miss Tagbilaran Pageant is the first and only edition where the top three winners were crowned in their swimsuits instead of the traditional and usual evening gowns

The pageant that was organized by the Leo Club of Tagbilaran also featured the fashion collections of Rosemary Lim who would later be elected the town mayor of Loay, Bohol

The two runners up who gave a good fight were campus beauties from the University of Bohol. Both are now based in North America
1st Runner Up was Rosario Inting now Mrs. Tallo, a former Miss Nursing of UB. Rose (now in Canada) would also go down in pageant history books as the first ever recipient of the Best in Swimsuit special award

AFTER MISS TAGBILARAN 1987
Years after captivating and enthralling everyone at the Miss Tagbilaran pageant, she continues to lend a hand in the realization of some of Bohol's most memorable projects particularly in the creative and performing arts.
Fiel Angeli is one of those remarkable individuals who prefers keeping a low profile and always staying by the sidelines when it comes to taking credit for accomplishments. Juggling her time between her job and family, she manages to find time for sharing her gifts in writing, speaking and organizing events.
She is happily married to Jerome Gabin and blessed with two amazing kids, Cielo and Renji
