Gal Gadot was 19 years old when she competed in and won the 2004 Miss Israel Pageant.  Afterwards, she travelled to Ecuador to represent Israel in the 2004 Miss Universe Pageant but she was not able to secure a Top 15 semifinal spot.

While serving in the Israel Defense Forces, she also worked as a fashion and commercial model. Later on, she entered university to study law but had to put everything on hold when she was called to audition for the part of Bond girl Camille Montes in the film Quantum of Solace. She was instead cast   for Fast & Furious.
