Twenty five years after winning the Miss Bohol 1992 crown for Jagna and creating a historic threepeat for the town of calamay, UP Diliman graduate Celevel Ranoco Butler of Jagna, Bohol and former Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore general manager takes the helm of one of Edelman Singapore’s largest practices.

Just a few days before Valentine’s Day, Edelman, a leading global communications marketing firm, announced the hiring of Celevel Ranoco Butler as Managing Director, Integrated Brand in Singapore, effective immediately.

The announcement follows a string of senior hires across Edelman’s global network in the integrated brand communications space, including Mark Renshaw, global chair of the Brand practice, and Rupen Desai, vice chairman, APACMEA. Butler reports to Amanda Goh, CEO of Edelman Singapore, as well as Desai.

As managing director, Integrated Brand, Butler will have immediate responsibility for the vision, strategy and operations of Edelman Singapore’s Consumer practice and partner with the firm’s digital, strategic planning and creative teams to further Edelman Singapore’s integrated marketing offer.

With two decades of award-winning work in advertising, creative and brand marketing, Butler was most recently general manager of Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore. Over her seven-year tenure as general manager, she transformed the Singapore operation into a regional hub, leading 120 consultants and expanded Saatchi & Saatchi’s client portfolio into consumer products, tourism, banking and finance, insurance and automotive.

Butler was most recently recognized at Cannes and Spikes Asia for her work for Scoot’s “Inspiring Spirit” Integrated and PR campaign.  Ms. Butler said

Miss Bohol Sandugo 1992 Pageant Revisited

It was year 1992, the year that ushered in a new era in Philippine politics after Pres. Cory Aquino decided to keep a low profile after her term ended. 

Elected Philippine President was Fidel V. Ramos with Ilongga Miriam Santiago providing stiff competition.  

Bohol had Hon. David Tirol as provincial governor.  Nong Ondoy Rocha was Tagbilaran City Mayor

In the beauty derby, Celevel Mozo Ranoco, beauty delegate from Jagna created Bohol pageant history on July 25, 1992 when she became the third consecutive Jagnaanon beauty to win the Miss Bohol Sandugo crown. 

THREE YEARS IN A ROW Twenty- three years later, Jagna’s three- in- a- row has not been duplicated by either Tagbilaran City or any other town in Bohol. The first two who got the crown were Tiffany Yap 1990 and Recelle Adlaon 1991

Twelve ladies from participating towns & the capital city of Tagbilaran competed in their swimsuits, filipiniana costumes, evening gowns & onstage interviews during coronation night held at the Divine Word College Gym. Earlier, the girls competed in a separate Talent Competition.

The ladies who got the five highest composite scores advanced to the final round, underwent a final Q & A before the judges made their ultimate decision.

PANEL F JUDGES Members of the panel of judges were Mr. Joel Mercurio, DOT Asst Regional Director, Mr. Jessie Ong, Mr. Fred Discuatan, Dr. Sharleen Lim & Mr. Triton Mascarinas. Canada- based Boholano designer Shanon Pamaong chaired the panel.

ORGANIZING BODY The Bohol Medical Society was the organizing body of the 1992 pageant with the Pageant Execom composed of Ms.Carmen Gatal, Ms. Amor Lamdagan, Dr. Disi Yap- Alba, Ms. Ardie Batoy & Dr. Vidal Cresencio

The well- rounded beauty queen whose name is a combination of her parents’ names Celestino Ranoco & the former Evelia Mozo has always been an achiever. She graduated 1^st Honor from Jagna Central Elementary School, High School Class Valedictorian from Central Visayas Institute. She later married Dominique Butler with whom she has a son Breitt.

She graduated from the University of the Philippines, April 1997 with a BS Economics degree.

Presently, she heads Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, Singapore.

Celevel Ranoco of Jagna, Bohol who is now the wife of Dominique Butler and the doting mom of Breit is the 1992 Miss Bohol Sandugo titleholder.

Celevel belongs to the exclusive Jagna's Miss Bohol Sandugo Trinity, the trio of Jagnaanon beauty queens who bagged the Miss Bohol Sandugo crown in three successive years. 

The other two are 1990 Tiffany Yap and 1991 Recelle Adlaon. 

To date, the record remains unbeaten 

She is presently the General Manager of Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising Agency based in Singapore

She flew in all the way from Singapore with her posse of fabulous fashionista friends from all over the world
