SERVICE ABOVE SELF. The Rotary Club
of Panglao Island recently had its 3rd Induction of Officers & Turn-over
Ceremony held at the luxurious Bluewater Resort, Danao, Panglao.
Rtn. Karin Wesemael,
a Belgian by birth and a Boholana by heart took her oath as Club President for
RY 2014-2015. Karin, who oversees the operations of the famous Linaw Beach, has
been consistently active in local community affairs before assuming the Rotary
Club presidency.

SPECIAL RECOGNITION. The incoming
president also collected three awards for meritorious service during the past
Rotary year. Also recognized were Rotary Past Asst. Governor & Panglao
Mayor Nila Paredes who was lauded for organizing relief efforts during the
Typhoon Yolanda and Bohol temblor aftermath, Maricel Madrona, Christiane
Theraube, Wim Zanstra, Freddy de Schuyter & Thomas Boetsch.
