Remembering the Late Amor Lamdagan

HEARTBREAKING HOMECOMING. 

Amidst the festive, joyous & raucous celebrations that pervaded the air during Sandugo season and TBTK 2015,  a tragic incident befell the Lamdagan family of Tagbilaran with the unexpected demise of Amor Lamdagan, the youngest of six siblings, last July 20

“We grieve that one so lovely should have a life so brief” REST IN PEACE AMOR We will always cherish the night with you at the Lounge last July 17..You are gone too soon. We will truly miss you” 

This was the brief yet poignant FB post of Zeny Uy, batchmate & good friend of Libeth G. Lamdagan- Haroun, sister of the late Amor Lamdagan who passed away just days after arriving home for Sandugo & TBTK 2015.   

Your Blogger was taking photos of reunion attendees at the Lounge last July 17 when he found himself dropping by the table occupied by Zeny Uy,  Rose Rara & Libeth. A bit later, Amor && brother  Joseph & Amor's best friend Joy Bonita Sevilla joined in after right after attending their UB College of Nursing Hygeians Class 1990 Silver Reunion.

The Lounge, July 17

Amor who turned 48 last July 10 in the United States would have hosted a thanksgiving party for elementary & high school batchmates on July 19 had circumstances been different. She was also giddy and excited with the upcoming Mrs. Bohol International 2015 Pageant where she was to have represented New York & New Jersey

Forever seared in Your Blogger's mind is the image of the bubbly & vivacious Amor who was at her usual gregarious self when she dropped by the Lounge that fateful night.  Who would have known that it was to be the last?

She was laid to her final resting place at the Victoria Memorial Park last July 26, the climactic finale of the 2015 Bohol Sandugo Festival.
