The Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federated of Panglao headed by Hon. Aya Montero reinvented the Miss Panglao Pageant and turned it into a platform for the advocacy campaign of Panglao’s youth

Now on its third year, it has become a highly- anticipated personality search that culminated with a grand coronation night that selected the town’s ambassadress of goodwill who will not only be the spokesperson for the various projects & advocacies of SK Panglao but also be a positive role model for her peers and for the community 

Most importantly, the pageant highlighted the varied projects of the participating SK barangays, schools & organizations that focus on literacy, environment, cultural heritage, health & sanitation, and entrepreneurship & sustainable livelihood.

” The Miss Panglao Pageant is a unique pageant since there is a strong emphasis on youth empowerment and dynamic involvement in community activities. 

We want the pageant to be relevant and to be an avenue to empower our youth to push for their advocacy that would benefit the community 

Just like last year’s winner, Miss Panglao 2012 will dedicate part of her year of reign to launch and promote an advocacy that she believes in because beauty queens are effective advocates of worthy causes”

The reigning Miss Panglao, Judith Anne Cruz, who represented Lourdes High School in last year’s pageant has already launched her school- based SK advocacy project with the seed money that was part of her prize package 

The 2012 Miss Panglao Pageant had its Talent Night and Coronation Night last August 27 & 29 respectively

A tall and elegant BS Nursing student was crowned Miss Panglao 2012 after besting a field of 16 ladies in glittering ceremonies at the Panglao Town Plaza. 

Meshellane Real Jade C. Cajels who represented SK Danao was also named Best in Gown, Best in Interview, Miss Photogenic and Face of the Night. Bohol Governor Edgar Chatto, First Lady Pureza Chatto, Mayor Benedicto Alcala, Mrs. Nila Montero and outgoing queen Judith Anne Cruz crowned this year’s queen

Named 1st RU was Miss SK Doljo, Jessamine C. Flores, who also won Best in Swimsuit and Miss Congeniality. She also won a 24 " Sharp LED TV from DU EK SAM when she was declared Miss Sharp TV 

Second RU was Blez Jamessa A. Oliquino from Balicasag Island. She was also declared Darling of the Crowd
