Fred Jedan & Verna's Dream Wedding

For every romantic relationship that culminates with a church wedding, there is always a unique and endearing love story behind it.

It always begins with the first meeting and leads to the altar with the exchange of lifetime vows.

Here's one such story, well a side story behind the frenetic yet very organized holiday wedding .

It all started when I got a call from Hannah Mae Carnice- Oppus, the groom's elder sister who asked me if I was available to emcee the couple's wedding reception.

After I confirmed my availability, what followed was a series of emails. We also relied heavily on FB, every Boholano's linkage with the rest of the world connection. Finally, I had the chance to meet the couple.

That first meeting was quite revealing, so to speak. It was actually my first time to really see and observe the betrothed really up close and personal. He was the go- getter who exuded self- assuredness  and quiet confidence.

She, on the other hand, was quite self - effacing. She was also a little bit nonchalant and never for a moment did I see a hint of panic knowing that their big altar date was barely just two weeks away.

Both however knew exactly what they wanted to happen on their wedding day so by the time Supreme Weddings, the event coordinator, called all suppliers for a final meeting with the couple, everything went smoothly and every one was in high spirits

THE GROOM

The groom is Engr. Fred Jedan T. Carnice, son of Engr. Wilfredo L. & the former Natividad Torralba of Tagbilaran City. He obtained his college diploma at Silliman University, Dumaguete City.

From a teary- eyed mom who spoke during the wedding reception, we got a glimpse of the real Jedan. A very focused student, a doting & dutiful son and the daring adventurer

BRIDE

There is always that unmistakable radiance and glow that brides always seem to have on their most special day and Verna Husain is no exception.

She was a gorgeous and luminous vision with classic styling reminiscent of a bygone era. Verna is a registered nurse and a daughter of Mr. Perlito P. Mrs. Virgilia S. Husain of Tagbilaran City, Bohol

with Mama Virgie Husain and sisters Jessa and Leah

Both are based in Auckland, New Zealand and came home for their marital union on December 23, 2012 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Baclayon, Bohol and tendered a lavish wedding reception for family and friends at the Verdant Pavilion, Panglao Island Nature Resort (PINR) Dauis, Panglao, Bohol

It was a lovely wedding indeed worth retelling in videos and pictures.

As dusk settles in, the newlyweds stroll with nary a care in the world, the two of them assured and comforted by the thought that there would always be the sunrise after the dark to look forward to for the rest of their lives

Congratulations  and Best Wishes Jedan & Verna!
