Spicing up the affair were the exciting son numbers from Alma Golosino & Jussica Villaflores , and the sexy dance numbers from Image Movers.

Getting the biggest cheers however was the Presentation of Muses for the 2014 Miss Boholympics Search. Here’s the link:

2014 BOHOLYMPICS TORCH LIGHTING CEREMONY

The most solemn part of any athletic meet would have to be the Torch Lighting Ceremony and the Boholympics was no exception. The flames represent everyone’s commitment to the core values of honesty, fairness, reason, purity, peace, sportsmanship and abiding by the rules of good order.

Six Boholympics athletes who represented the future of Bohol in sports took part in the Torch Lighting Ceremony. They were Job Vincent Aseniero, Jo Lander Molina, Kay Leizle Paredes, Jan Nino Rosales, Gibb Manigque & Shane Pareja.

Gov. Chatto passes the flame to first relay runner

The passing of the torch from one athlete to the other transmits not only these core values from one athlete to the next but also eventually to an entire community.

The lighting of the urn also links the Boholympics with those of ancient Greece to convey a sense of continuity & tradition, an air of respectability and obedience to authority.

The flames in the urn would be burning throughout the Boholympics to remind our athletes and officials to honor their commitment to the values that they stand for

Your Blogger emceed the opening ceremonies through the invitation of Bohol Prov'l Youth & Sports Coordinator Joel Molina & the hardworking Dr. Jennylette Ayson.

Thank you to you both!

BOHOL’S OUTSTANDING ATHLETES

The Boholympics organizers are confident that the annual sportsfest would produce a new generation of world- class Boholano athletes.

Bohol has already produced regional, national, and even international sports personalities like the legendary Simeon Toribio (High Jump), SEA Games Record holders Sammy Alegada and Nicholas Jaluag (Weightlifting), the Docena brothers and sisters (Chess); Olympian Bobby Jalnaiz, Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista and Nonito Donaire (Boxing); Larry Mumar, Bernard Fabiosa and Peter Naron (basketball)
