2014 Bb Pilipinas TV Primer Review

After watching last Sunday’s Bb Pilipinas Primer shown on ABS CBN Channel 2, a major shake up in my final prediction list was simply inevitable

Some of the so- called frontrunners and heavy faves came tumbling down and some came out from nowhere to stake a claim for one of the five Binibini crowns at stake this year. In other words, some sizzled and some fizzled out

THE HEAVY FAVORITES

I am now a major Laura Victoria Lehmann convert after watching and listening to her during the TV primer. The television cameras simply love her and boy! Can the girl talk! Love the way she expresses herself.

Kris Janson wowed me too with her delicate Castilian features. Yvethe Marie is a big wow too and she opened the whole shebang with a strong and marvelous presentation. Beauty & brains indeed.

Hannah Sison was a revelation also. She came across as a modern Filipina who is successful in her chosen career.

PiaWurztbach is safely up there too. Bianca Guidotti came out as endearing and warm and very genuine. MJ and Diane are within striking distance

Parul Shah keeps mesmerizing everyone with her dazzling smile and she smolders with her sensuous & sexy presence

Finally, my sentimental favorite is Joy Marie Gangan who just might squeeze in the winners’ circle if only because her beauty is the type that would find favor with the male- dominated judging panel.

THE REIGNING QUEENS

Bea Rose stood out for her hosting skills. Ara was pure delight when she mentored the girls on make up tips. Mutya was a very pleasant Binibini who was very profuse with her praises and words of encouragement for the girls. On the other hand, for someone who has had prior TV hosting gigs, Cindy was quite a letdown but nevertheless, her command of the microphone was very evident

TV PRIMER HOST

Kudos to Mateo Guidicelli for the spontaneous and warm way that he hosted the event. To his credit, he never overshadowed nor patronized the girls and really allowed them to bask in their glorious TV exposure no matter how brief or fleeting

Overall, it was a good production and really gave us an insight on the girls and clearly and effectively separated the chaff from the grain

To the Binibini Class of 2014, good luck and may the best girls win!
