Eva Bisnar- Claret: Boholana Singer Wows Them in France

I remember her very well. Eva Bisnar, the Boholana nightingale from Talibon with whom I forged a tight friendship back in college has always been a joy to listen to and a sight to behold each time she takes centerstage whether in school events or in intimate gatherings where listeners never get tired of her mellifluous vocal stylings.

After all these years, our circle of friends often wonder where Eva has gone to after she left Bohol after college.

Bohol- based friends of Eva were thrown in a tizzy after finding out that she was home for a quick visit. We all agreed to meet up at the Coffee Lounge of MetroCentre Hotel where Eva regaled us with her adventures in the Middle East and in Europe.

We were in for a delightful musical treat at the MetroCentre when Eva came to town

Eva swapped her nursing cap and uniform for a microphone and glittering cocktail outfits as she set out for the musical journey of her life. She launched her singing career in Dubai Intercontinental Hotel in 1992 then in Bahrain Ramada Hotel and in Muscat Oman Intercontinental Hotel.

She met Jacques Claret, her future French hubby in Dubai back in 1993 and eventually married a year later in Bahrain. She and Jacques are blessed with two good- looking sons Jan Anrev and Jory.

Eva and her family live in the city of Brive La Gaillarde in central France and has been calling France her home for the past 22 years. She and her hubby own a dancing & nightclub in Brive.

After her return to France from Bohol, she was onstage again
Venue: Espace AliƩnor d'Aquitaine.

In between managing the household and running the business, she also entertains bookings for musical entertainment for special events. She always looks forward to her vacations here in Bohol because they give her time to reconnect with family and friends and also to get away from it all.
As we listened to Eva sing La Vien En Rose to an enthralled audience at the MetroCentre Hotel, we couldn’t help but be proud of a Boholana whose passion for music has been well- received and loved by the French people. Ciao and merci Eva!
