Mellanie Wallace was a 16 year old graduating high school student from Bohol Wisdom School when she was crowned Miss Bohol Sandugo thus entering the record books as the youngest ever to win the title.
Mellanie's family is behind the very successful Bohol Bee Farm and The Buzz Cafe
She is presently based in New York, U.S.A. where she works as a nurse

Although she was very happy to have placed 1st Runner Up to Miss Valencia, she was quite frustrated and disappointed. She was just a breath away from bringing back to her hometown Duero the crown and the prestige that goes with the title.
She began thinking that perhaps, she would always end up as second best.
Cases in point:
She was Class Salutatorian of her grade school batch and she was also Class Salutatorian of her high school batch.
Even during the Miss Duero Pageant, she was also the 1st Runner Up BUT Fate and Destiny intervened

She is not only one of my favorite Miss Bohol Sandugo titleholders but also one of my favorite emceeing partners

Determined and Driven. These are the two words that would describe Anna Maris Arcay Igpit, the tall and dusky Boholana who first joined the Miss Bohol Sandugo Pageant in 2003. She finished as 1st Runner Up
She competed again in 2005. This time, there was no doubt that she was in it to win it.
Not only did she bag the Miss Bohol Sandugo crown but she also earned the right to represent the province in the 2006 edition of the country's most prestigious beauty pageant, the Bb. Pilipinas Beauty Pageant.
She was crowned the 2006 Bb. Pilipinas- World thus becoming the first Boholana to win a Binibini crown

The very amiable and charming Joy Marie Maglajos never entertained any illusions when she competed in the 2008 Miss Bohol Sandugo Pageant.
She was merely fulfilling one of her obligations as Miss Katigbawan, the highlight of the Katigbawan Festival held annually in her hometown Catigbian. But she clarified that she was in a competitive mode
She was elated when the gown she wore won the Best Designer Award. After all, she designed the gown herself with the help of her pageant coach/ mentor.
She was quite relieved with the award because it meant that she won't be going home empty- handed.
Little did she know that she was going home not only with the Best Designer award but also with the Miss Bohol Sandugo crown and the prestige that goes with it.
What made it more memorable was the fact that her town's entire LGU led by their beloved Mayor Roberto "BertSals" Salinas and wife together with a large contingent of supporters were there to witness her triumph

She would always be an unforgettable Miss Bohol Sandugo because I was right there during her journey towards the crown. I was the emcee when she won the Miss CVSCAFT title in February 2009.
I was also the emcee when she represented her school in the Miss Tagbilaran Pageant in April 2009 and finally during the Miss Bohol Sandugo Pageant which I emceed with ABS CBN's Pinoy Big Brother Housemate Cathy Remperas

It was a well- deserved victory of course especially with the all- out support of Mayor William Jao and First Lady Eden Jao and the presence of a huge contingent of supporters from her hometown.
But the lion's share of the credit should go to the Anyag sa Tubigon Committee that really prepared her for the big battle.
All their collective efforts paid off. She became Tubigon's very first Miss Bohol Sandugo titleholder

Idy Casenas Cagas already won a region- wide beauty search.
She was crowned the 2006 Miss CVRAA (Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association), a pageant that was marred by the unbecoming and unladylike spectacle of two candidates who were openly showing their mutual dislike for each other by getting physical onstage infront of the stunned audience and dumbfounded judges
Anyway, Idy Casenas Cagas became the fifth Jagnaanon beauty to win the Miss Bohol Sandugo crown

Who Will Be the Next Miss Bohol Sandugo?
Today is July 1 2013. It is a very important date not only because it is the 47th Charter Day Anniversary of Tagbilaran City, the capital of our beloved Bohol but also because it is the kick- off date for the month- long celebration of the Sandugo Festival which commemorates the first international peace treaty
One of the highlights of the celebration is the selection of Miss Bohol Sandugo.
Who will be this year's lucky girl? More on this in an upcoming feature on the candidates
