A battle royale is looming in the local pageant
scene for the right to be the first official representative of Bohol in the annual
Miss Philippines- Earth Pageant that will select the country’s bet to the Miss
Earth 2015 Pageant.
The lucky winner will automatically gain a spot in the national finals this May and will be competing with the rest of the candidates from all over the Philippines in a series of challenges prior to the Grand Coronation Night to be telecast over ABS CBN Channel 2.
BEAUTIES FOR A CAUSE
After being granted the exclusive franchise by Carousel Productions, ICM & the Alturas Group of Companies conducted a screening last week which yielded an interesting mix of Boholana beauties from diverse backgrounds yet bound by a common denominator: to be Beauties for a Cause through their support for a greener & cleaner Mother Earth.

THE IDEAL MISS PHILIPPINES EARTH
With the pageant’s aim of discovering beautiful
& brainy young women who can be effective spokespersons for environmental advocacy
& eco- tourism thrust, the most likely winner from the provincial level should
not only be charming & pretty but also have an engaging personality, excellent
communication skills & the sincerity & willingness to carry out the objectives
of the contest. Simply put, Bohol’s bet has to be someone who believes in herself
and can stand side by side with the rest of the provincial & regional winners
during the national finals.
Aside from a series of environment- related activities, another interesting tidbit from the pageant is the three- minute audio- video that focuses on the eco- tourism potential of the hometown/ city where the girl comes from.
