Did you know that aside from Anna Maris Igpit, there was another Boholana who was crowned as Miss Mandaue? She is Donna Maricel Cardino, a svelte & leggy charmer from Clarin who won the prestigious & very tough Cebu- based beauty competition back in 2011.

Aside from being the crowd favorite among the 16 candidates, the 5’ 8” tall Boholana beauty was also the tallest and she also scooped the Best in Filipiniana and Best in Evening Gown special titles in the pageant held at the Cebu International Convention Center.

Her runners up were 1st RU Crystal Star Aberasturi , 2nd RU Christine Paula Love Bernasor, 3rd RU Genefe Navilon & 4th RU Reygin Brion .

Although she did not place in the said pageant, the experience helped her in polishing her interpersonal skills, boosted her confidence and gave her the poise and refinement which she ultimately used when she applied for a job abroad.

Donna Maricel is presently based in Australia.

PAGEANT EXPERIENCES

Donna was a 16 year old senior high school student when she represented the Municipality of Clarin in the 2004 Miss Bohol Sandugo Pageant.

Against more experienced and older candidates, Donna held her ground and aside from making the Top Ten, she was also selected as Best in Swimsuit & Miss Photogenic.

Later on, she competed in Miss Tagbilaran City where she placed as 2nd RU to Ruby Mejos.
