Nicole Schmitz for Miss International 2012

This year's Miss Philippines who is currently in Japan competing with 67 other beauty delegates from around the world for the 2012 Miss International crown has caught my interest.

Nicole Schmitz, 24, a half Australian who holds a Masters in Psychology with Magna Cum Laude honors, is a Cebuana and I do remember that she was in Bohol back in 2006 for an official function of Bohol Community Cable TV and this was before she competed for Bb. Pilipinas

The coronation night is on Sunday, October 21. If she wins, she will be the first girl from the Visayas to bag the Miss International crown

Our very own Nicole stands out in this group picture

The 68 delegates of the Miss International 2012 competition being held in Okinawa participating in a Yukata festival, while getting accustomed to some of the island’s traditions.

The Yukata is a casual summer kimono usually made of cotton or synthetic fabric, and unlined. Yukata are worn by both men and women

Miss Philippines is one of the crowd favoorites
with a Nicole Schmitz look-a-like. That's Monique de los Santos who placed in the 2011 American Idol Top 100.
She is the daughter of Jagnaanon Eva Gulle de los Santos. Speaking of Eva, I'm hoping to feature the world- class Boholana nightingale in my blog
Nicole surely knows how to project for the lensman
