Miss Batuan: Miss Bohol 2015 Series # 8

Miss Batuan is Portia Adlaon Quejada

She was so busy preparing for her Prelims & practicing her guitar plucking when she turned 18 years old three days before the Talent Competition that she couldn’t find time to celebrate her milestone the usual way. 

But her Ate Imee and family did find time to prepare a surprise for her

That’s how focused Portia Adlaon Quejada is for the Miss Bohol 2015 Pageant. Don’t let her sultry looks, lovely legs & eye- catching height deceive you for off the stage, Portia is not the typical teenager for she digs classics & standards when it comes to music. 

She is presently a BS Tourism Management student at one of the biggest universities in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.  

At the same time, she has been a Population Commission Peer Facilitator since she was in high school which speaks volumes on her sense of responsibility & community involvement

Portia represents the Municipality of Batuan that was once a part of the municipality of Bilar. Batuan became a separate municipality through the efforts of some local leaders, such as Manuel Decasa, Alejandro Barril, Victor Tiongson, among others, who were put behind bars for strongly advocating the movement to cede Batuan from its mother town Bilar, and its subsequent creation as a distinct and separate town.

Batuan got its name from edible fruit with the same name, which grew galore in the locality. Batuan is also the Home of Shiphaus, Bohol's newest attraction which is constructed to look like a shipping vessel.
