FIRST FILIPINA MISS WORLD
Last night in Bali, Indonesia, Megan Young made history and entered pageant record books when she became the first Filipina to be crowned Miss World.
At the same time, her victory has given the Philippines the distinction of being the only country in the world to have won all the six major international beauty titles also known as the Grand Slam Pageants
She bested a record field of 127 candidates when she finally ensnared the blue tiara that had eluded the Filipina beauty for more than five decades
It was a well- deserved victory for Megan whose spectacular performance, outstanding beauty & charm, sterling personality and versatility were very consistent and solid.
All eyes were on her the moment she was crowned Miss World Philippines late August up to the time when she first set foot in Bali, Indonesia

MEGAN'S WINNING ANSWER
Here is Megan Young’s winning answer to the question “Why do you want to become Miss World?” during the final round.
I treasure a core value of humanity and that guides people why they act the way they do. I will use this to show other people how they can understand each other… as one, we can help society.
During the penultimate round, Megan showed a hint of vulnerability when she became emotional at the mere mention of her parents. Tears threatened to fall when she uttered a poignant “ I miss them so much”
That particular moment where she showed her real self plus her charm & refined manners and very photogenic and telegenic features helped seal her Miss World victory
The 23 year old actress’ life will surely change forever and the title will definitely open a lot of doors for her
